Day 1 – Summary

Day 1 is in the books and we're officially underway with Rally Sweden 2018.

SS1 Karlstad SSS saw Ott Tänak come up with the fastest time, closely followed by reigning champ Jari-Matta Latvala and Mads Østberg.

In WRC2, Swedish hero and, also, reigning champ, Pontus Tidemand proved to be the one to beat again with coming in with the fastest time. Ole Christian Veiby and Kevin Abbring are just behind though with as little as 0.1 and 0.4 seconds and everything promises a close race through the stages tomorrow.

JWRC was just as close when Dennis Rådström is ahead of Emil Bergkvist with that single hundreds, 0.1 seconds. Estonian Ken Torn is chasing them, another 0.8 behind.

Friday offers no less than seven stages, with a total of 144 kilometers of beautiful snowbanks and tight, icy roads.
SS2 Hof-Finnskog 1 is the first one out, kicking off at 07.55.
