At 18:00, a procession of cars will then arrive at the square with the WRC cars. Following this, the WRC drivers will join the square for a mingle session with the visitors.<\/p>\n

“It feels great that we can host a small event on Wednesday together with Visit Umeå<\/a> where there will be an opportunity to meet the drivers. The WRC drivers have a very tight schedule throughout the rally week from their arrival to departure. This year, the WRC promoter for the championship has done a good job of lightening up the schedule somewhat for the WRC organizers so that they can be a bit more public and accessible to the audience, which is very positive,” says Erik Åström, Event Director for Rally Sweden.<\/p>\n

Snow Castle and Big Screen<\/h2>\n

After Wednesday’s evening activity, Visit Umeå will continue to have Rådhustorget as a meeting place for the rally with activities including a big screen, ticket sales, a snow castle, and rally-themed crafts.<\/p>\n

But Wednesday’s square is not the only opportunity to meet the WRC drivers during the rally.<\/p>\n

“Around lunchtime on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, the drivers will be inside the Support Arena at Nolia<\/a>, so there will be a chance to meet the stars then as well. They will also have autograph sessions on Thursday at the Red Barn Arena<\/a>, where there will also be Meet the Crew events on Friday and Saturday,” concludes Åström.<\/p>\n
