<\/p>\nOliver Solberg won Rally Sweden last year and did not disappoint this year.
\nThe 22-year-old, with co-driver Elliot Edmondson, won eleven of the 18 special stages in Umeå and won the competition one minute and 19 seconds ahead of Finn Sami Pajari and with Estonian Georg Linnamäe in third.<\/p>\n
– Fantastic. Solberg happily said what a week with so many people and a lovely atmosphere.<\/p>\n

Last year’s winner did it again this year, and he praised the teamwork in the car.
\n– Elliot has done a great job, and the whole team behind it, and it’s incredible that we managed to keep the car intact during the entire competition.<\/p>\n
The Skoda driver danced his way onto the winter surface, and with confidence and lots of energy, the Umeå residents have become a crowd favorite, and it’s mutual.<\/p>\n
During the opening ceremony at The Red Barn Arena, Solberg already fantastically pulled the spotlight when he hijacked the conference’s Molly Petit’s interview and broadcast it live on his own media channels.<\/p>\n
The positive signals then spread, where the Värmlander, fully backed by Skoda’s factory team for this year’s season, undeniably paid back the team and the rally fans.<\/p>\n
– I have to say a big thank you to all the officials and everyone around the competition here in Umeå. Some so many people make this competition a super event. It is powerful, he said gratefully.<\/p>\n
Solberg steered the winter roads around Umeå with incredible accuracy and was safe. On Saturday, he was even third overall in the summary, just one minute and 15 seconds behind Esapekka Lappi. Admittedly, it is under exceptional weather conditions, but despite that, it is a statement to be at those speeds in a WRC2 car.<\/p>\n
The other Swede in the WRC 2 class, Isak Reiersen, with Lucas Karlsson as co-driver, finished in a respectable 8th place, just over five minutes behind the victorious Oliver Solberg. Reiersen drove evenly and steadily through the competition but was only partially up to the required speeds during his Rally Sweden debut.<\/p>\n
