Oliver Solberg once again proved why he is one of the world’s most promising rally drivers as he secured his third consecutive victory at Rally Sweden 2025.<\/p>\n
Together with his co-driver Elliott Edmondson, he dominated the competition behind the wheel of his Toyota for the Printsport team, ultimately winning with a margin of 42.5 seconds ahead of Finland’s Roope Korhonen. Mikko Heikkilä finished third, 1:08.36 behind Solberg.<\/p>\n
Solberg set the tone as early as Friday afternoon, driving flawlessly to establish a 20-second lead. From there, he gradually extended his advantage over his rivals, showcasing impressive speed on the fast and technical winter roads in Umeå. He was the fastest on 12 of the 18 stages over the weekend, clearly demonstrating his class and skill behind the wheel.<\/p>\n
“It felt absolutely amazing! We had a great feeling from the start and were able to build a solid lead. The team did an incredible job with the car, and Elliott was flawless with the notes all weekend,” said an overjoyed Solberg after crossing the finish line at Red Barn Arena.<\/p>\n
The victory marked another milestone in Solberg’s career, once again proving his dominance on fast winter stages. Competing full-time in the WRC-2 class this year, he had already established himself as one of the top favorites for the championship title when the season concludes.<\/p>\n
“It was an incredible relief to take this victory. Three years in a row, and with a new car as well—it felt unreal. We worked hard to find the right feeling, and it just kept getting better and better. I was nervous ahead of the weekend, but the team did an amazing job, and it felt great to be able to give them this result,” Solberg said.<\/p>\n
He also highlighted the support from the crowd and the electric atmosphere in the forests. After several years in Umeå, Solberg has become the undisputed fan favorite.<\/p>\n
