Day 2

Ogier touched a snowbank at SS6, ending up in the ditch in a spot where there were no spectators around to help. The world champ spent more than 20 minutes before he could break free, losing all chances of competing for the bigger points.
Latvala was only five seconds behind the lead when heading in to the last stage of the day but minutes later, he did the same thing as Ogier, getting stuck with no possibility to get out of the snow. Also losing around 20 minutes, the Finnish favorite now has gone from competing for the victory to a fight for earning any points at all.
At least none of them had their cars smashed so they will be able to continue tomorrow.

In the lead we have a surprising Teemu Suninen who really came out flying today. Impressive driving when others struggled and for the first time ever the Finnish M-Sport driver is in the lead in a WRC competition.
In second we have Ott Tänak who found it hard to drive but still managed to charge through all day long. Tänak is only two seconds behind so it will be a close battle right from the start tomorrow.
In third we see a strong Andreas Mikkelsen who got stronger the longer the day went on, pushing his driving to a higher level in the end. Mikkelsen is 17 seconds behind leading Suninen.

In WRC2, Mads Ostberg has a comfortable lead with about a minute and a half ahead of Kalle Rovanperä. Gus Greensmith is in third, another minute behind.

WRC2 sees Ole Christian Veiby 24 seconds ahead of Johan Kristoffersson, who’s closely followed by Jari Huttunen who managed to beat all the WRC cars in Torsby to take the stage win. Indeed impressive.

Junior WRC has a Swedish double in the top, with Dennis Rådström being a little over a minute ahead of Tom Kristersson. Germany’s Julius Tannert is in third, another half minute behind.

Will be very interesting to see what Day 3 has in store.
