& After Rally
& After Rally
The Red Barn Arena in the I20 area is like nothing the people of Umeå have ever seen before. Rally Sweden has made use of the quintessential element of its northern location: snow. A huge snow grandstand is the very heart of The Red Barn Arena – and there’s something for everyone. Wherever you stand you’ll be able to follow the rally, the dizzying speeds and the stars from just a car’s length away. Expect 150 km/h and jumps of around 40 metres. There are also giant screens and live commentary on the day’s second rally stage, a VIP area, live performances, pony riding, sled race, snowmobile and digger test driving. And of course a Food Court with a wide range of good eating from food trucks and exhibitors. A true party and a family festival, just a few stones’ throws from Umeå city centre.
Rally and winter festival is not just about cars, but also food and drink – and The Red Barn Arena is no exception. Cafés, hotdogs, hamburgers, chanterelle wraps, Thai food, Mexican, churros, and of course a true northern Swedish delicacy: suovas, or smoked reindeer wraps. And that’s just a selection of all the goodies you’ll find in our Food Courts, and the other eateries strategically located around the arena. Good food, hot and cold beverages from local businesses – all made with local produce where possible – will give you a real taste of the region and put the finishing touch on your rally experience.
