The stage begins on a winding forest road that straightens into a faster section after about 2 km. At Holmbäck, the stage takes a sharp hairpin right, which marks the location of Spectator Area 1.
After the hairpin in Holmbäck, the stage continues onto a relatively narrow road with several smaller bumps, curves, and crests, passing snowmobile Spectator Area A.
Spectator Area 2 in Mjösjö is easily accessible via the main road. Here, spectators can watch the cars as they exit the forest and join the main village road.
Here, the stage follows the wide and undulating village road to snowmobile Spectator Area B, where spectators can enjoy watching the cars navigate a series of sweeping curves.
About a kilometre further along is snowmobile Spectator Area C, where the road maintains a similar character to Area B, with the cars taking on more long, sweeping curves at high speed.
After a series of tight bends, the stage reaches Spectator Area 3 in Hednäs, which features several large spectator areas. Here, drivers must time their braking point perfectly, as the road turns sharply just after a crest to loop around a garage. The cars then accelerate through some gentle bends uphill to the junction at Högås village farm.
At Högås, the rally road makes a sharp left turn by the village hall and then accelerates past the snowmobile spectator area in Högås.
The road continues to Spectator Area 4, where spectators can watch the cars at high speed for an extended period as they pass over a couple of significant crests before braking for an upcoming junction.
Just before the finish, the stage turns into Pengfors Motorstadion, where Spectator Area 5 and snowmobile Spectator Area E offer the chance to watch the cars navigate several tight turns on the motor stadium's parking area before completing the final stretch to the finish line.
Similar to Spectator Area 5, snowmobile Spectator Area E offers views of the cars making several tight turns in the motor stadium's parking area before completing the final stretch of the stage.
Kolksele is a varied and challenging stage that offers an exciting mix of fast sections and more technical driving. It begins with a couple of kilometres on a winding forest road before straightening out slightly as it reaches the village road in Mjösjö. The majority of the stage runs on a fine, wide, and fast village road with flowing curves and crests that create a rhythmic and thrilling drive.
The fast village road is interrupted at regular intervals by more technical sections, such as in Kolksele, where the stage loops around a barn, and in Pengfors, where it takes a detour into the Pengfors Motorstadion before ending in Penglund.
This stage offers varied driving that truly tests both the car's and the driver's capabilities.
