WRC Party set to return to Umeå from 13 to 15 February

From 13 to 15 February the world’s biggest rally party returns to Västerbotten. That’s when Rally Sweden 2026 is set to run with Umeå once again at the heart of the only ice and snow rally on the FIA World Rally Championship calendar.

– For many in the WRC, Rally Sweden offers the most exotic adventure of the year – their only chance to rally on ice and snow in sub-freezing conditions,” expressed Rally Sweden CEO Anna Nordkvist.
– We invest a lot in developing this experience for them and turning into something much more than just a competition.

Working closely with the FIA and WRC Promoter, Rally Sweden once more has the goal to deliver an unforgettable experience for everyone who takes part in Rally Sweden by creating fast, flowing and challenging stages representative of the region.

Work on the 2026 edition of the rally started almost as soon as Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin finished celebrating on the roof of their Toyota Yaris GR Rally1 at the end of 2025’s Wolf Power Stage. Now with the date set, the next stages of organisation are ramping up.

Rally Sweden is one of Sweden’s largest recurring sporting events and for the fifth year in a row, Umeå will be the central location for the rally, highlighted by the must-visit Red Barn Arena-based Umeå sprint, which will be beamed out to a global television audience of tens of millions.

– In its five short years as host of Rally Sweden, Umeå has quickly established itself a must-visit location for any rally fan, exuded WRC Promoter’s Senior Events Director Simon Larkin.
– Red Barn Arena is a blueprint for WRC fan experiences and we’re excited to be back there in February for one of the greatest weekends in motorsport.
