Dates are Set for Rally Sweden 2025 – 13 to 16 February

From 13 to 16 February, Västerbotten will once again host a thrilling Rally Festival as Rally Sweden 2025 takes place.

For the fourth consecutive year, Umeå will be the central hub for the rally, with the start and finish right in the city centre. During the festival weekend, spectators are expected to gather again to watch the rally, visit the festival area, and enjoy the entertainment. Rally Sweden is one of Sweden’s largest recurring sporting events.

“We are putting great effort into improving the visitor experience, while also working hard to provide excellent conditions for all the drivers. For many of them, it’s a unique experience to come to Sweden and compete in the middle of winter on ice and snow. Almost immediately after the last team left Umeå following the 2024 event, our course crew began evaluating potential stages for 2025. It’s no easy task. There are numerous guidelines from the WRC promoter and the international federation, FIA, that we must adhere to in terms of what is required for a World Championship rally stage, and our goal is to once again deliver an unforgettable experience for everyone involved with Rally Sweden,” says Anna Nordkvist, CEO of Rally Sweden and Secretary General of the Swedish Motorsport Federation.

There is tremendous international interest in the World Rally Championship (WRC) and Rally Sweden, with an estimated 100 million TV viewers worldwide. In mid-May, it was also confirmed that Rally Sweden will continue until 2027, following a new agreement with the WRC promoter.

This is what Jona Siebel, CEO of the WRC Promoter, had to say when the deal was signed:

“Rally Sweden is much more than a snow rally, it’s one of the most unique fan experiences in motorsport, and The Red Barn Arena has quickly become a must-visit for rally fans. As the Promoter, we are incredibly excited to return to Umeå and for the stability this provides Rally Sweden’s organisation.”

Rally Sweden is one of Sweden’s largest recurring sporting events. Through the event venue, Red Barn Arena, the audience gets up close to the cars and the speed. In addition to exciting and action-packed motorsport, visitors can enjoy entertainment, food, drinks, and an exhibition, making it a natural gathering place.

Rally Sweden traditionally serves as the second round in the WRC calendar, following the season opener in Monte Carlo.

Rally Sweden will take place from 13t to 16t February.
