Elvyn Evens in the lead after Saturday

Welshman Elfyn Evans delivered a strong performance as Saturday’s stages in Rally Sweden wrapped up at The Red Barn Arena in Umeå. Heading into the final stage of the evening, he held a six-second lead, but a couple of small mistakes on the short sprint into the arena saw him lose half of his advantage to Japan’s Takamoto Katsuta. Despite this, Evans heads into the final night still in the lead, three seconds ahead of Katsuta. Belgian Thierry Neuville sits six seconds behind, while Estonian Ott Tänak lurks in fourth, 12.8 seconds off the top spot. Everything will be decided in Sunday’s final three stages!
