Preparation for Rally Sweden 2024 is ramping up with next year’s addition planned from 15–18 February.* For the third consecutive year Umeå will be the central location for the rally, which starts and finish in the city. More than 200,000 people are expected over the event weekend to take in the rally, visit the festival area and enjoy the entertainment. Rally Sweden is one of Sweden’s biggest recurring sporting events.

“Work on next year’s major rally fest starts now. We’re focusing a lot on enhancing the experience for the 200,000 or so people we’re expecting, and we’re also making sure all the drivers have the best conditions possible. For many of them, it’s an exotic experience to come to Sweden and compete during the winter on snow and ice,” says Anna Nordkvist, Secretary General of the Swedish Automobile Sports Federation and CEO of Rally Sweden.

A World-Unique Rally

WRC Promoter has expressed their support once more for Rally Sweden. The final, formal decision regarding the 2024 WRC calendar will be taken by the FIA in July. There is huge international interest in Rally Sweden, with 100 million TV viewers expected worldwide.

“With The Red Barn Arena walking distance from central Umeå, we’re the only rally event that can offer a genuine front-row rally experience for a large audience. We also have an event area with activities and experiences for the whole family,” says Anna Nordkvist.

After the premiere in Monte Carlo
