TV coverage of Rally Sweden

The promoter of Rally Sweden has been able to secure coverage of their WRC with over 30 individual broadcasters that will ensure quality coverage in well over 120 territories.

Through broadcast deals with pan networks such as Fox Sports in Central and South America, Al Jazeera in the Middle East, SuperSports in Africa and Motors TV in Europe, as well as individual territory broadcasters, the coverage of the WRC will be available across 6 continents.

Scandinavia can be assured of excellent coverage of one of their ‘home’ events through deals with SVT in Sweden (the Host Broadcaster), TV2 in Norway and MTV3 in Finland, while the rest of Europe will also be covered in regular news, sports and automotive shows by the likes of Tf1 and France TV in France, RTP in Portugal, VRT & RTBF in Belgium and ESPN in UK.

Agreements for the news feed distribution with Reuters and SNTV will also ensure access across the globe for individual news and sports bulletins to the twice daily news feeds being produced by the event’s production partners.

The coverage being produced at the event includes Daily Highlights programs (half hour each day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday), the Event Highlights programme (one hour on Sunday night), twice daily news feed, and national language interviews for key territories.

Live streaming of the Super Special stage was broadcast world wide via the internet.  A number of key web and fan-sites, including the WRC app powered by Nokia, have received bespoke clips.

Enquiries for news clips and the event highlights show continue to be received.

Rally Sweden would like to thank its broadcast partners, as well as Nokia, Michelin and Telenor for their quick action and support.
