Andersvattnet: A Rally Gem

Andersvattnet, the remote stage in Rally Sweden 2025, holds a special place in course director Joakim Åström’s heart. He describes it as a “real rally gem” that offers both fast and technical sections which will truly test the drivers.

“This is a stage located a good distance from Umeå, but it’s definitely worth the journey. It has an excellent mix of fast and technical sections. The drivers will really have to work hard here, which makes it an extremely exciting stage,” says Joakim.

The stage, which stretches over two miles, begins with a fast section that transitions into a technical area where the drivers must navigate some beautiful curves between houses. But the real show comes when they reach an impressive jump.

“This jump will provide some fantastic TV footage, and it’s going to be a major challenge for the drivers. It’s not just technical; it’s also visually impressive,” adds Åström.

For the spectators, this means an incredible rally experience—if they’re willing to venture into the forests. Andersvattnet is more difficult to access, but for those who make the journey, a reward awaits in the form of one of the most spectacular stages of the entire rally.

The choice of the stage at Andersvattnet was part of the carefully thought-out work that Joakim and his team undertake to create a dynamic and competitive rally.

“We have to consider both the logistics and the sporting aspect. It’s all about creating a good balance between fast and technical stages so that the drivers can really showcase their skills. For us, it’s about striking the right balance so that it becomes both challenging and decisive,” concludes Åström.
