How Rally Sweden 2025 will be run

“It’s incredibly exciting and completely new for us. Now we can offer the audience a Shakedown stage here in Umeå, within walking distance. Just like with Red Barn Arena, where the audience can walk from the city to the arena, they can now start their rally experience centrally. This aligns perfectly with our goal to provide visitors with a more sustainable rally experience,” says Erik Åström, Event Director for Rally Sweden.

As a spectator, there are numerous opportunities to find a favorite spot in the forest or at Red Barn Arena in Umeå. Additionally, the Stage Event in Vännäs is expanding for 2025. The work to make the rally even more exciting began immediately after last year’s event and continues, with a focus on improving spectator areas, parking spaces, and snowmobile trails.

“Organizing an event like Rally Sweden requires a tremendous amount of effort from many people, and I’m incredibly proud of the entire team involved. I’m really looking forward to soon meeting everyone—the staff and volunteers—as we come together to execute Rally Sweden, the world’s best World Championship rally,” says Anna Nordkvist, CEO of Rally Sweden.

Three new competitive stages

Rally Sweden 2025 offers both exciting new features and familiar elements. While many aspects remain the same, there are some novelties, including the stages Bäck, Andersvattnet, and Kolksele.

“The entire organization is working tirelessly to ensure that in 2025 we can deliver a unique event for both participants and spectators, as well as TV viewers. We have fantastic partnerships with volunteer groups who do exceptional work. It’s truly heartwarming to witness the efforts these associations put in,” says Åström, adding:

“As for the stages, all World Championship rallies are required by the promoter to introduce some changes from the previous year. For this year’s rally, the competition management has selected a few truly outstanding stages.”
