The Swedish TV-viewers have a good choice of broadcasters from Rally Sweden, February 10-13. Viasat Motor, TV 10 and the national broadcaster Swedish Television, SVT, are all sending from the rally.
– We have never had this massive TV-coverage from our national WRC-event, Bertil Klarin, the head of Rally Sweden says, with a smile.
Three of the stages will be broadcast live. The opening stage on Thursday evening in Karlstad at the Super Special Stage at Färjestad trotting course, and the same stage at Saturday evening are live sent. The National class has fulfilled its first Swedish National Championship round, and the victor of that class will be celebrated at Saturday evening at Färjestad Super Special Stage.
The ultimate stage of the rally, Gustavsfors on Sunday afternoon, also will be sent live. That is a so called Power Stage. For the first time, according to the brand new FIA WRC regulations, the fastest drivers can earn 3, 2 or 1 extra Championship points. More than 15 hours will be broadcast from the rally, and that is more than the Swedish viewers ever had.
