Ny Serviceplats för Rally Sweden

Tidsplanen för Rally Sweden 2016 har nu skickats till FIA och WRC Promoter för godkännande..

Den största förändringen i förslaget jämfört med tidigare år är att Serviceplatsen flyttas från Hagfors till Karlstad. Detta är en följd av de boendeproblem som en del team upplevde I samband med Rally Sweden 2015 och de önskemål som mottagits från FIA och teamen om en alternativ placering.

Serviceplatsen etableras enligt förslaget i Karlstad hamn på Vänerkajen och detta innebär att Rally HQ, serviceplats, super specialsträcka och parc ferme för WRC kommer att placeras I Karlstad.

Hagfors kommer fortfarande att utgöra en viktig knytpunkt för tävlingen. En däckbytarzon för WRC föreslås här på lördagen och Hagfors kommer också att härbärgera serviceplats och Parc Ferme för Rally Sweden Historic. Även tävlingens avslutande sträcka, den sk Power stage, kommer också att köras I Hagfors enligt förslaget.

Specialsträckorna kommer att köras i samma område som tidigare och kommer att offentliggöras så snart som remissutgåvan blivit godkänd.

The draft itinerary for Rally Sweden 2016 is sent to the FIA and the WRC Promoter for approval.

The main change in the proposal compared to previous years is that the Service Park is to be moved from Hagfors to Karlstad. This is a consequence of the accommodation problems for mainly the WRC teams that occurred during the rally in 2015 and a request received from the FIA to find an alternative solution.

The new Service park is suggested to be built up at the Karlstad Harbour and this means that the Rally HQ, the Service Park, the Super Special stage and the overnight halts for the WRC will all be based in Karlstad.

Hagfors will still be an important hub for the rally, as a Tyre Fitting zone for the WRC-field is scheduled to be established there on Saturday as well as the service park and overnight halt for the Historic Rally Sweden. The final stage of the rally, the Power stage, will according to the proposal also be run in Hagfors.

The special stages will be run in the same area as previous years and will be announced as soon as the itinerary is approved.
