Jari-Matti Latvala has linked its grip on this year’s Rally Sweden when 14 of the 24 special stages are run midway trough Saturday. The Finnish Ford driver is 18.6 seconds ahead of his countryman Mikko Hirvonen, which in turn is 21.3 seconds ahead of Petter Solberg.
Latvala won the first two legs of the day, Vargåsen and Sågen, and was second over Fredriksberg who went as SS13. After a safety run over the short SS14 Hagfors Sprint it looks good for the 2008 Rally Sweden champion. But Latvala can not relax for a moment when he has the last two years Rally Sweden winner Mikko Hirvonen on his tail.
