Stars rehearsel in Norway

KNA Rally Finnskog next Saturday may be an all-star line-up. Several of the top drivers in Rally Sweden chooses to do the WRC rehearsal in the Norwegian competition. In the entry list we find Mikko Hirvonen (pictured), Mads Ostberg, AndreasMikkelsen, PG Andersson and Craig Breen.

KNA Rally Finnskog is an extremely compact race with start, finish and service in small Svullrya a few miles from the Swedish border. Rally measuring 185 km of which 117 km is divided into the eight special stages.

The geographic proximity of Värmland and the fact that the contest is decided a week before the Rally Sweden makes KNA Rally Finnskog an excellent rehearsal for the WRC drivers. The entry list (44 cars Wednesday evening) contains many famous and interesting names.

Mikko Hirvonen, Mads Östberg and Eyvind Brynildsen will run in the WRC class. Finn makes his second race (Monte Carlo Rally  was the first) with Citroën DS3 WRC. The Norwegian team mates in the Adapta Motorsport was running his Ford Fiesta WRC.

S2000-class is also a real hornet’s nest with Andreas Mikkelsen (Skoda), PG Andersson (Proton), Craig Breen (Ford) and Marius Aasen (Ford) on the starting line.

Pontus Tidemand, who is participating in a Skoda Fabia S2000 in Rally Sweden, in Rally Finnskog driving EvenRallys in a Fabia R2. Tidemand WRC car will Andreas Mikkelsen compete in.
